Hiring Process
STEP 1: Online Application
The first step in applying for a position at Mueller is to complete the online application form that will provide us with details of your relevant knowledge, skills and experience. As part of the online application process you may also attach a copy of your resume if desired, but not required. It is important to complete this application correctly to ensure it can be submitted successfully. Completing the application accurately and honestly also ensures your employment offer will not be rescinded for incorrect statements or information. Your application also includes a disclaimer that allows Mueller to conduct an in-depth background check and screening process if you are selected for employment. Once your application and resume have been submitted, a Mueller Recruiter and / or Hiring Manager will review it and depending on your knowledge, skills and experience, you may be contacted for an interview. STEP 2: Interview with a Recruiter, Hiring Manager or Team Member
If selected, you will participate in one or more interviews with a Recruiter, Hiring Manager or Team Member. The interview process will determine your suitability and availability for employment. It will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions that you might have. Should you require accommodation for the first or any subsequent interviews please provide your request to the Mueller Recruiter or Hiring Manager, who will ensure your accommodation needs are addressed. The interview is a great opportunity for you to better understand the position you are applying for, and allow you to hear first hand what it's like to work at Mueller.
STEP 3: Offer of Employment
If you have been identified as the selected candidate for the position you will be given a conditional offer of employment. All offers of employment from Mueller are conditional upon successfully meeting the requirements of our extensive background and screening process. Your offer will be presented to you to ensure that you are in acceptance of the terms and conditions of the offer.
STEP 4: Pre-Employment Screening Process
All offers of employment from Mueller are conditional upon successfully meeting the requirements of the pre-employment screening process which includes, but is not limited to: drug / alcohol screening, accuracy of your application, physicals for safety-sensitive positions, criminal history and other background areas. Once you have successfully met the requirements of the pre-employment screening process, your offer of employment is confirmed and you may resign from your current role. We recommend that you do not resign until you have been given notice from Mueller that you have successfully completed all components of the screening process.
STEP 5: Onboarding
All new employees will complete their new hire information online on their first day of employment. New employees are also required to take online courses that are specific to their position with Mueller. You will be provided more information about the orientation process once you have accepted the job offer from us.
